Last night, the 8th Grade Dogs took on Brownsburg West at the high school. The Dogs struggled offensively from the beginning and never recovered, losing 33 to 16. The Dogs look to bounce back this weekend as they host a tournament at BEMS. Come out and support the Dogs!
This Saturday , the 8th grade East Bulldogs played 2 games, as they hosted Southmont and Creston. In the first game, the Dogs bounced back with a big win over Southmont. It was a great all around team effort, as every player was able to get on the court and contribute. In the second game, the Dogs faced a tough opponent, but played their hearts out. The Dogs kept it close for 2 quarters, but Creston was able to use their size and strength to pull away. Coach is very proud of how the team played this weekend and looks forward to that effort in the games to come. The Dogs look to get 2 wins this week as they travel to Chapel Hill and Center Grove!
Last night, the 8th grade boys traveled to Center Grove to take on the Trojans. The Dogs jumped out of the gate with great defense and outstanding teamwork which led to good open shots. The Dogs got an early lead and never trailed in the game. Robert Jackson led all scores with 15 points and Bishop Bambo added 9 points. It was a great defensive effort all night. Elhadj Diallo, Austin Humbert, Jack Regashus, and Jayce Tunnell were all very aggressive on rebounds and did a great job of attacking the rim. The defense was led by Bishop Bambo who was all over the floor the entire night, giving amazing effort. This was a great bounce back victory and a great team effort! The Dogs look to carry the momentum into next week as they host Franklin at home on Monday. Come support the Dogs!!
Last night the Dogs hosted Franklin East in a good basketball game. The Dogs jumped out to an early lead and would never lose that lead, winning 41 to 31. It was an all around team effort as 9 different players contributed in the scoring column. Robert Jackson led all scores again with 10 points. Once again, it was an outstanding defensive effort as a team that led to the victory.
Last night, the Dogs hosted Plainfield in a hard fought game. Both teams came out slow and the Dogs led 7 to 4 going into the 2nd quarter. The Dogs had an outstanding 2nd quarter led by good defense and teamwork on the offensive end, and headed into halftime with a 21 to 11 lead. Plainfield did not give up and came out strong in the 3rd quarter, cutting it to a 1 point lead heading into the 4th quarter. Led by great defense and clutch free throws, the Dogs came away with a 42 to 33 victory. Robert Jackson led the way in scoring, but it was a well rounded victory with 6 guys getting in the scoring column. Austin Humbert played extremely hard and brought the energy the Dogs needed to get the victory. They look to carry this 3 game winning streak into next week!
Last night, the 8th grade Dogs traveled to Tri West. The Dogs came out slow, trailing 8-7 after the 1st quarter. After they settled in and increased the defensive pressure, they were able to get some steals and easy buckets. At halftime, the Dogs led 31 to 14, but the Bruins did not give up. After Tri West cut the lead to 11, the Dogs were able to finish the game strong with a 51 to 38 victory. Once again, it was the defense that led the way for the Dogs. Offensively, 8 different players scored, but Robert Jackson led the way with 16 points. Tamareon Tucker chipped in 9 points and Bishop Bambo had 8 points. The Dogs are now on a 4 game winning streak and look to carry the momentum to Wednesday when the host Speedway at home.

It was an outstanding TEAM victory with 11 players scoring in the game. Elhadj Diallo and Robert Jackson led the way with 12 points each. Bishop Bambo also chipped in 7 points. The Dogs have won 5 games in a row and look to carry that momentum when they travel to Danville Thursday.
