7th Wins An Exciting Game!

It was exciting night basketball BEMS last night. Your seventh grade Lady Dogs hosted the Lady Warriors of Danville in a game that did not disappoint.

Your Lady Dogs got off to a quick start, taking the lead in the first quarter 8 to 2. The Lady Warriors continue to fight. The Lady Dogs solid defense and patience on offense took your Lady Dogs into have time leading 15 to 9.

Your Lady Dogs came out of the half strong scoring 8 in the third quarter. But the Lady Warriors were not ready to give up, also scoring 8. Your BEMS Lady Bulldogs and The Lady Warriors both battled to the very last second of the game. Your Lady Bulldogs came away with the victory 26 to 25.

BEMS played unselfish basketball with seven girls contributing to the score. Aniyah Jones led the team in assist with two followed by Sophie Laycock and Kiersten Touloukian. Macy Twomey led the team in points with 9, followed by Emma Hendricks with 6. Atta Garnett, Aniyah Jones, and Keira Fetz also contributed to the score. BEMS had a team first going 7 for 7 from the free throw line. Your lady dogs succeeded another team high with 31 team rebounds, 25 defensive and 9 offensive rebounds, led by Emma Hendricks and Atta Garnett. The solid defense of the Lady Dogs had seven steals, led by Aniyah Jones with three. Macy Twomey led the team with two blocks. Emma Hendricks, Sophie Laycock, Kiersten Touloukian, and Emily Teany each with a block shot. The solid defensive of BEMS forced the Lady Warriors into 35 turnovers. BEMS will host Zionsville West Tuesday February 12th at 5:30
