7th Volleyball Finishes Season

Your 7th grade volleyball team traveled to Plainfield to take on the close rivals of Avon South in the first round of County. BEMS came out with a lot of energy and ready to go. It all starts with a pass and the back row came ready to play. Becca Copeland passed the ball better than she had all season. Maddie Pierson worked her tail off as libero, taking charge. Aysa Thomas with "soft hand' set up Brea Tubbs, Lauren Walsh, Rachel Wetli  Haley Sollenberger, Bella Dunigan, and Maddie Pierson for multiple hits. Tinsley Shotts led your dogs in serving points with a season high of 8 points. BEMS pulled away and took the first set 25-14.

Avon South was not going to go away quietly. The Lady Orioles were not ready to go home. After a very evenly matched set, the Lady Orioles defeated your Lady Dogs 25-24 in the second set taking it to 3.

After getting down 6-0 in the 3rd set, you Lady Dogs dug deep and got mentally tough to proved they wanted it more. BEMS buckled down and came back to take the set 15-13, advancing to the semifinals.

Your Lady Dogs faced the Lady Bruins of Tri-West in the semifinals. Your lady Dogs struggled to get things started in the first set. Lack of energy and communication led to the defeat of BEMS. Your Lady Dogs regrouped and easily took the 2nd set 25-15. Unfortunately the Lady dogs could not finish and fell to the Lady Bruins 15-12. Your Lady Dogs finished with a record of 14-6! Great season Ladies!
